About Me

I am a glass artist based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

I first began making fused glass (glass that is heated and joined together in a kiln at very high temperatures) about ten years ago, when I was searching for a new hobby as a way to express myself and support my wellbeing.

Having qualified as a cabinet-maker and upholsterer when I was 22, I had always had a calling to 'create things', but had somehow drifted into a 'proper job' in NHS Healthcare Transformation projects instead.

I was in my 50s when I found glass as a medium and, before long, what started out as a hobby turned into an obsession. I expanded my craft into stained glass (initially, traditional leaded panels, and then using the copper foil technique made famous by C. L. Tiffany) and, when I ran out of room (and relatives to gift things to) I realised that I had to either stop making or start selling. It was not a difficult decision.

In 2026, when I turned 60, I decided to take a giant leap and persue my dream of becoming a full-time creative. I gave up the day job to concentrate full-time on making beautiful things from glass. and now I am truly Living The Dream.

Every purchase made - and every compliment received, confirms for me that I made the right decision, that I have finally found my purpose, and that I really can call myself 'An Artist'.
